An open letter this new year

Hey you,

As 2019 has come and gone, one thing we can all agree is that it was quite a ride. Congratulations, you made it through another year, better and stronger than before. I know 2020, the year of perfect vision, has just begun and it’s been full steam ahead but here’s a couple of things to remember as you go through the year:

Remember to take each day as it comes.

We all start the year by creating new year’s resolutions and while our best intentions may be at an all-time high, it is important to remember not to be too hard on ourselves should we stumble. Be patient – you’re only human and while sometimes we may make mistakes, the key is to pick yourself back up and never be afraid to resume or start all over. As they say, nothing worth having ever came easy. You got this!

Remember to take hold of every opportunity, or better yet, make those opportunities readily available to you.

Take the leap of faith in all aspects of your life, be it professional or personal. You only get this life to live, so have the courage to try things outside your comfort zone or embark on a new journey. Do you want to take on more client meetings without your entire team in attendance or pitch what you know will be a winning PR campaign to a room full of “higher-ups”? Then go out there and do it. Test yourself, test your limits and take those chances.

Most importantly, remember to love yourself above all else.

You are strong, you are intelligent, you are brave, you are beautiful and you are so much more. This year, don’t feel bad for putting yourself first, your life will be so much more colourful when you show yourself the same love and care you give to all those around you.

Finally, like our fine jewelry client, Jacquie Aiche always says, “your tribe determines your vibe.” Guard your energy this year and only let in people who are truly there for you and know all your ins and outs. I hope you have the wisdom to understand that not everyone is meant to be on your journey and that you have the strength to let go of those who have served their purpose. No matter how stressful things may get, once you remember all these, I guarantee, you’ll have an amazing year.

Now get ready to slay 2020 – I believe in you!

Love always,

You
